A Little Update…
I’ve officially been a real estate agent for about 2 months now. It was very overwhelming at first and I definitely felt very lost. I still feel lost about a few things, but I’ve had to realize that I’m just going to have to learn as I go along. I can’t possibly know everything or what to do in each situation. Even the most seasoned agents have told me this. And the best way to learn is by doing!
So what have I been doing? Let’s see:
Going to Steps for Success. That’s our training program. It’s every Friday for six weeks.
I’ve been attending the weekly office meetings, where a vendor usually brings breakfast. I also attend the weekly Lunch and Learn meetings.
I just recently, like in the past few weeks, signed up to work the phones in the office. They call it Opportunity Time. Hardly anyone calls, but you never know. While I’m in the office at the front desk, I get to talk to the other agents; work on my social media, and contact my people.
I mentioned earlier that I felt overwhelmed at first and a little lost. After about 2 weeks of feeling like that, I realized I needed to start meditating again. I decided to do the Prosperity Plan again. It’s from the (literally) little book called, The Abundance Book by John Randolph Price. It’s a 40 day meditation and journaling routine. I did the Prosperity Plan a couple of years ago and I noticed that I was definitely more centered and focused. I’m now on day 28, and I noticed an immediate difference in my mindset and my work output. I no longer feel overwhelmed, and it’s almost like I instinctively know what to do everyday.
I highly recommend this book. I first discovered it by following Linda Garcia at In Luz We Trust. As she says, if you can get past the Christ talk (because I realize not everyone is Christian, and if you are, you’ll love it), it has very positive spiritual messages. It kind of reminded me of The Secret.
